Proposed Parking Changes in Robertsbridge?

Your chance to discuss Civil Parking Enforcement Proposals FOR ROBERTSBRIDGE with key officers from East Sussex County Council.

Wednesday 12th December 6-8pm Robertsbridge Youth Centre.

If you have any questions about how the proposals for Civil Parking Enforcement across Rother will affect parking in Robertsbridge, or just wish to discuss the proposals directly with key officers, please drop in. This opportunity has been set up at the request of the Parish Council. The detailed plans for Robertsbridge will be available to view; these include pay-and-display parking on sections of the High Street and Station Road. We encourage as many residents and local businesses to call in, even if you have already commented online (the consultation runs until 14 January).

Good news! You might also be interested to hear that the Parish Council has just secured joint funding from ESCC to extend the double yellow lines as you enter Station Road from the High Street, down to the Car Park, to prevent the often-dangerous congestion that parking on this section causes. All double yellow lines would be enforced under the Civil Parking arrangements.

The Parish Council has recently taken over management of the Station Road Car Park (and toilets) and it is our intention that it will remain free. The car park is not included in the Civil Parking proposals, which only apply to on-street parking.
